News from Kansas
Hey everyone! I know I haven't posted in so long, but I'm back. No pictures this time, but I do have some news.
On Thursday, I was inducted into the Beta Omega chapter of the International Honor Society Phi Theta Kappa. It is for students who excel in Academics, Leadership and Fellowship. It's not a huge deal, but considering what a screw up I was in high school, I am pretty proud of this. They are very active in the community and nationwide and I am excited to be a part of it.
On the down side, I lost my job. I'm okay with it, though. It was taking too much time away from my family and I was behind in school work. I know that there is a reason for everything.
On another note, I have recently decided to do a little religious exploration. I am unhappy with my church and their beliefs and practices and need to find something better. Keep us in your prayers! You are in ours.
The rug monkeys are doing great. Heath is excelling in school in both reading and math. He is growing up so fast and is so smart. He has become very independent and spends a lot of his time with his nose in a book. Jesse is finally starting to enjoy preschool, although I think he would be happier in the afternoon class. I realized the other day that he can actually write his name(legibly.) He has so much energy and he definitely keeps us(and his teachers) on our toes. He is starting to get a little mouthier, but we are slowly getting a handle on it. Lauren is turning out to be a real social butterfly. She and her best bud Jenni are practically inseparable. I think they would talk on the phone if we would let them. She has surprised me lately with how much she knows. She counts to 14, knows her ABC's and has a whole cache of songs stored in her little mind. She sings almost all the time and has great tone for a little girl.
I'll post some pictures as soon as I can and I hope to hear from you guys soon. I would love to know how everything is going with everyone.
